Market breadth on the Stockholm Stock Exchange favored advancers, with 413 stocks closing higher against 320 that fell; 68 issues finished unchanged.

Commodities and currencies

Energy and precious metals posted gains in nearby contracts. Crude oil for August delivery rose 1.76%, an increase of 1.24, to trade at $71.58 a barrel. Brent oil for September delivery gained 1.57%, or 1.16, landing at $75.03 a barrel. The August Gold Futures contract moved up 1.05%, adding 42.02 to trade at $4,050.82 a troy ounce.

On the currency front, EUR/SEK was effectively unchanged, edging 0.03% to 11.06, while USD/SEK declined 0.18% to 9.71. The US Dollar Index Futures registered a 0.26% decrease to 101.13 at the time of reporting.
