Risks

  • Slippage in energy markets: Crude and Brent oil posted declines (Crude -2.93% to $73.63; Brent -3.34% to $77.38), which could exert pressure on Oil & Gas sector performance.
  • Company-specific downside: Wolters Kluwer fell to five-year lows (down 3.94% to 56.54), highlighting idiosyncratic risk within the information services and publishing segment.
  • Commodity price volatility: A drop in gold futures (down 1.19% to $4,195.32) and movements in oil prices introduce uncertainty for materials, metals and energy-related stocks.
