Lung Ming Green Energy Technology Engineering Co Ltd (TW:3018) dropped 6.98%, or 0.90 points, to 12.00, and Elite Material Co Ltd (TW:2383) fell 6.70%, a move of 395.00 points, to end at 5,500.00.


Market breadth and notable milestones

By the close, advancing issues narrowly outnumbered decliners on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, with 515 stocks higher versus 495 lower, and 110 issues remaining unchanged. AMAX Holding Co Ltd (TW:6933) reached a 52-week high during the session, registering a 10.00% gain to finish at 236.50.


Commodities and currency moves

Commodities were mixed in international trade. Crude oil for October delivery fell 0.99%, or $0.81, to settle at $81.42 per barrel. Brent oil for November delivery declined 0.87%, or $0.76, to $86.18 a barrel. In metals, the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17%, or $7.94, closing at $4,661.24 per troy ounce.

On currency measures, USD/TWD was down 0.31% at 31.77, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.38% at 0.21. The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged, at 99.09.
