On the downside, Boliden AB (BOL) was the weakest large-cap, falling 2.85% or 16.60 points to close at 566.80. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (HMb) dropped 2.37% - down 4.30 points - to finish at 174.80, and Addtech (ADDTb) declined 1.40% or 4.80 points to end at 337.80.

Market breadth in Stockholm showed more advancing stocks than decliners: 394 issues rose versus 319 that fell, while 85 were unchanged.

Commodities were mixed at the close. Crude oil for October delivery traded higher by 0.49% - up 0.40 - settling at $82.63 per barrel. Brent oil for November delivery increased 0.68% or 0.59 to $87.53 a barrel. The December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 10.96 to trade at $4,664.26 a troy ounce.

In currency markets, EUR/SEK declined 0.13% to 11.09 and USD/SEK fell 0.16% to 9.51. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 99.04 at the close.
