Stock market activity in Sweden ended Tuesday with a broadly positive tone as the OMX Stockholm 30 index finished the day up 1.58%, reaching a new all-time closing high.

Among the weakest performers were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which fell 1.13% or 1.90 points to 165.80 SEK at the close, and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), down 0.97% or 0.43 points to finish at 43.92 SEK. Lifco publ AB (ST:LIFCOb) recorded a modest gain of 0.18%, up 0.60 points to 328.60 SEK.
Commodity markets showed notable moves during the session. Crude oil for September delivery fell 5.61%, a decline of 4.51, settling at $75.83 per barrel. Brent oil for October delivery dropped 5.35%, or 4.48, to $79.29 per barrel. In contrast, the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.30% - an increase of 53.25 - to trade at $4,143.75 a troy ounce.
Foreign exchange rates involving the Swedish krona moved modestly: EUR/SEK was down 0.05% to 10.99 and USD/SEK fell 0.21% to 9.53. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 99.75 by the close of the reporting session.
