Market participants recorded a clear skew toward falling issues, and a small group of names produced outsized percentage swings on both the upside and downside.

Risks

  • Concentrated sector weakness - Energy & Utilities, Agriculture & Food and Transport declines could pressure related company earnings and investor sentiment in those sectors.
  • Stock-specific downside - Companies that reached new lows, such as Retal Urban Development and Saudi Ground Services, face uncertainty around near-term share performance.
  • Broad negative breadth - With 235 declining issues versus 87 advancing, market momentum is tilted toward sellers, increasing volatility risk across the exchange.
