Indonesia's main equity gauge eked out a slight gain on Friday, finishing the trading day with a 0.01% increase as select sectors pushed prices higher. At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index registered the modest advance.

The session highlighted the divergence between a handful of high-momentum small-cap names and the broader market, where declines outnumbered gains. Traders and analysts monitoring Indonesia's market will note both the concentrated nature of the session's advance and the accompanying moves in oil, gold and FX, which can influence sector-level performance.
