Notably, shares of Hiab Oyj rose to an all-time high, up 4.39% or 2.60 to 61.80. SSAB AB B also reached an all-time high, advancing 2.77% or 0.26 to 9.50.

Commodities showed notable moves during the session. Brent oil for October delivery fell 5.40% or 4.52 to $79.25 a barrel. U.S. crude for September delivery dropped 5.69% or 4.57 to $75.77 a barrel.
