  • Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:DHLn) eased 0.62% or 0.36 points to 57.40.

MDAX and TecDAX snapshots

Among MDAX constituents, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) jumped 8.25% to 86.34, TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) advanced 6.26% to 6.37 and AUTO1 Group SE (ETR:AG1G) gained 4.25% to close at 23.54. The weakest MDAX stocks included K+S AG (ETR:SDFGn), down 0.96% to 14.42, Puma SE (ETR:PUMG), which lost 0.65% to 27.32, and flatexDEGIRO AG (ETR:FTKn), off 0.61% at 36.08.

On the TecDAX, the top performers mirrored some DAX winners: Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) rose 8.25% to 86.34, TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) added 6.26% to 6.37 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) gained 6.10% to end at 39.11. The weakest TecDAX names included Kontron AG (ETR:KTN), down 4.92% to 21.26, 1&1 AG (ETR:1U1), which lost 1.32% to 19.50, and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G), off 1.14% to 52.25.

Breadth and volatility

Advancing issues outnumbered decliners on the Frankfurt exchange by 470 to 207, with 32 stocks unchanged. The DAX volatility index, a measure of implied volatility on DAX options, fell 4.70% to 17.27.

Commodities and FX

Precious metals and energy moved lower during the session. Gold futures for December delivery declined 0.37% or 15.20 to $4,091.80 a troy ounce. In energy markets, crude oil for September delivery fell 5.93% or 5.02 to $79.65 a barrel, while the October Brent contract lost 4.79% or 4.21 to trade at $83.72 a barrel.

Currency pairs were relatively steady: EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% at 1.15 and EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.19% at 0.86. The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 99.80.
