CADDi announced Wednesday that it has entered into definitive agreements for $114 million in Series D funding at a $1.2 billion valuation. The round includes participation from eight investors, both newcomers and returning backers, and increases the company’s lifetime financing to $234 million.
New participants in the Series D include Moore Strategic Ventures, Coreline Ventures, HR Tech Fund LLC, Woven Capital, and Salesforce Ventures. Returning investors that took part in the financing are Atomico, Globis Capital Partners, and JPS Growth Investment Limited Partnership.
Headquartered in Chicago and Tokyo, CADDi is led by co-founder and CEO Yushiro Kato. The company publicly introduced its next-generation Manufacturing AI Data Platform in Japan in August 2026 and is now beginning a staged global release of the product. CADDi describes the platform as a manufacturing operating system that imposes a semantic structure on fragmented manufacturing data, allowing both human and AI-driven workflows to operate on a shared data foundation without manual handoffs.
Management outlined four primary uses for the new capital:
- proprietary AI and technology development,
- expansion of the Manufacturing AI Data Platform,
- enhancement of global business operations with a focus on North America, and
- investment in talent acquisition and development.
CADDi framed the official U.S. launch of the platform as a signal of its full-scale expansion into the United States, which the company identified as the world’s second-largest manufacturing market. The firm currently serves manufacturing customers in more than 20 countries, including several of the largest publicly traded companies in Japan and the United States.
The company was founded in 2017 by Yushiro Kato and Aki Kobashi, the latter having previously worked at Apple while Kato has a background that includes consultancy experience. CADDi’s product positioning centers on consolidating disparate manufacturing data and enabling interoperable workflows for people and AI tools.
By combining fresh capital with an ongoing product rollout and targeted investments in operations and people, CADDi said it will pursue global growth while developing the platform’s underlying AI and technology stack.
