WHAT: HII (NYSE: HII), a global leader in autonomous unmanned maritime systems, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the expansion of its unmanned maritime systems production facility in Pocasset, Massachusetts.

The new 10,000-square-foot expansion will increase HII’s capacity to produce and support autonomous maritime systems for the U.S. Navy, allies and partners. The facility supports HII’s REMUS unmanned underwater vehicles, ROMULUS unmanned surface vehicles and Odyssey advanced autonomy solutions.

Media will have the opportunity to tour the expanded production facility, see the REMUS UUV production line and speak with HII leaders about increased production capacity and the integration of unmanned systems into future fleet operations.

HII has delivered more than 750 REMUS vehicles to customers in more than 30 countries, including 14 NATO members. The Pocasset facility is currently producing REMUS UUVs for multiple customers, including the U.S. Navy’s Lionfish small unmanned undersea vehicle.
