Shares of ZipRecruiter Inc (NYSE: ZIP) jumped 6.6% on Tuesday following the company’s announcement that Carmen Chan will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer, effective August 17, 2026.
ZipRecruiter said Chan will have responsibility for the company’s Accounting and Finance organizations and will spearhead initiatives tied to long-term financial strategy, operational excellence, and value creation. The company also confirmed that Dave Travers will continue serving as President, and will step down from his interim CFO responsibilities once Chan assumes the position.
Background and career highlights
Chan arrives at ZipRecruiter from Barclays, where she held the title of Managing Director, advising technology and internet companies on financing and strategic transactions. She joined Barclays in 2023.
Before her time at Barclays, Chan spent several years at Noom as Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations. At Noom she evaluated potential acquisitions, helped scale the finance function, and supported investor relations milestones, including a $540 million raise in 2021.
Her earlier experience includes more than five years in investment banking roles at Goldman Sachs within its technology, media and telecommunications group. Chan has also served as Head of Revenue and Business Development at theSkimm and held investment banking positions at UBS in London and Sydney.
ZipRecruiter noted Chan was named to American Banker’s Most Powerful Women in Banking NEXT 2025 list.
