Poland's equities finished the trading day with a small net gain after the close on Tuesday, with sector-level strength in Developers, Information Technology and Media helping push the WIG30 index up 0.08% at the Warsaw close.
The session's biggest individual mover on the WIG30 was Orange Polska SA (WA:OPL), which rallied 11.93% - a rise of 1.75 points - to finish at 16.38. Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) added 5.64% or 1.69 points to close at 31.66. Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) also ended the day higher, advancing 3.02% or 1.35 points to 46.02; the company’s shares reached a three-year high during the session.
By contrast, several large-cap energy and mining names lagged. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) fell 4.08%, a decline of 6.16 points, to close at 144.84. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) declined 3.41% or 0.35 points to 9.90, while KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) slipped 3.29%, down 9.95 points to 292.55.
Market breadth at the Warsaw Stock Exchange showed more decliners than advancers: 310 stocks fell, 187 rose and 134 finished unchanged.

Commodities moved lower through the session. Crude oil for September delivery fell 4.07% or $3.36 to $79.25 a barrel, while Brent for October delivery dropped 4.44% or $3.81 to $82.06 a barrel. The August gold futures contract declined 1.06%, down $43.20, to trade at $4,033.80 a troy ounce.
In currency markets, the euro traded at 4.32 PLN, up 0.14%, while the U.S. dollar was effectively unchanged versus the zloty, moving 0.12% to 3.79 PLN. The U.S. Dollar Index Futures was reported down 0.23% at 101.15.
