Israel's equity market ended the trading week with broad gains, led by strength in the Real Estate, Insurance and Financials sectors. The benchmark TA 35 index closed the session up 1.79%.
Among index constituents, Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) posted the largest climb, rising 7.07% or 3,610.00 points to finish at 54,700.00. Next Vision Stabilized Systems (TASE:NXSN) followed, adding 6.28% or 1,800.00 points to end at 30,460.00. Nova (TASE:NVMI) rounded out the top performers, advancing 4.03% or 6,450.00 points to close at 166,500.00.
On the downside, Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) recorded the steepest drop among the listed movers, sliding 2.43% or 990.00 points to 39,800.00 at the close. Navitas Petroleum LP Unit (TASE:NVPTp) declined 2.03% or 260.00 points to finish at 12,530.00, while Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) slipped 1.95% or 33.00 points to end the session at 1,662.00.
Market breadth favored advancers by a wide margin, with 364 stocks rising against 104 decliners and 89 that finished unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Nova's shares reached a milestone during the session, trading up 4.03% or 6,450.00 to 166,500.00 and marking an all-time high for the stock.
Commodity markets showed mixed direction in related trading. Crude oil for July delivery fell 2.69% or 2.36 to trade at $85.35 a barrel. Brent crude for August delivery lost 2.58% or 2.33 to $88.05 a barrel. By contrast, the August Gold Futures contract rose 2.76% or 113.60 to trade at $4,227.60 a troy ounce.
Foreign exchange rates registered little change on the session. USD/ILS was unchanged 0.13% to 2.92, while EUR/ILS was unchanged 0.01% to 3.39. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 99.72.
Overall, Friday's session combined a decisive upward move in the TA 35 with notable stock-level dispersion and significant moves in commodity prices. The pattern left a majority of listings higher while some energy-related and smaller-cap names recorded declines.
