Key Points

  • Craig Lund has been named Chief Executive Officer of Tag Markets and will lead the executive team and next phase of the company’s development.
  • Lund has over 15 years of experience in regulated financial services and digital-asset businesses, with senior roles at Merrill Lynch, M2, MidChains, BitOasis and Property Finder.
  • Three immediate priorities for Lund at Tag Markets are operating discipline, resilience of execution, and treating client service as measurable management information.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 10th, 2026 - Tag Markets today announced that Craig Lund has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Lund will take charge of the company’s executive team and guide its next phase of development while working with the firm's founders and current stakeholders.

With over fifteen years in regulated financial services and digital-asset businesses, Lund brings leadership experience across operations, governance and risk. His senior roles have included positions at Merrill Lynch, M2, MidChains, BitOasis and Property Finder. Across those roles, he has been involved in establishing multiple regulated financial businesses and obtaining licences in several jurisdictions, managing teams numbering in the hundreds and working inside organisations responsible for billions of dollars in trading volume.

Lund's professional experience spans several functional areas cited by the company: risk management, regulatory engagement, cross-border settlement, product infrastructure and executive team construction. At BitOasis, he was part of a leadership team that scaled the business significantly and helped secure one of the first in-principle approvals granted by Abu Dhabi Global Market to a digital asset exchange and custodian. While at MidChains, he contributed to building an over-the-counter desk that reached multi-billion-dollar volume in its first year. At M2, he led a group operational structure that took a globally regulated exchange and custody platform from a standstill to launch within months under multiple global regulated frameworks.

The appointment comes as Tag Markets shifts focus from growth metrics alone to the operational foundations that determine client experience. The firm highlighted that while spreads and platforms can be compared quickly, clients form lasting impressions based on day-to-day interactions - how fast withdrawals are processed and how promptly support queries are answered. Lund's remit places these measures at the centre of Tag Markets' priorities, with an emphasis on defining, measuring and continuously improving them.

"A broker earns trust in the moments a client feels, not in the ones it advertises," Lund said. "The next chapter for Tag Markets is defined less by how fast it grows than by how well it runs. My focus is on the operating discipline, the governance and the client experience that let a firm grow across markets without losing the confidence of the people it serves."

The company outlined three priorities that will define Lund’s agenda:

  • Operating discipline - establishing clear operating standards and escalation thresholds so decisions are taken at the appropriate level and remain visible afterwards.
  • Resilience of execution - strengthening the end-to-end execution chain from order routing and pricing to the controls that manage changes reaching live trading environments.
  • Client service as management information - treating client feedback as measurable management information, recording and reviewing it so recurring patterns can be identified early and acted upon.

As Tag Markets expands across jurisdictions, the firm acknowledged that demands on internal systems, governance and regulatory engagement will increase. The company described Lund’s background at the intersection of regulated finance, operational scale and technology as matching the capabilities required at this stage of growth.
