Risks

  • Energy sector weakness - TotalEnergies SE fell 4.43%, which could pressure other energy-linked names and related indices.
  • Elevated implied volatility - The CAC 40 VIX is unchanged at 18.96 but at a new 52-week high, signaling potential for increased option-implied market swings.
  • Large single-stock moves - Heavy losses in specific communications stocks, such as Eutelsat Communications (down 8.04%) and SES (down 5.33%), introduce idiosyncratic risk for portfolios with concentrated exposure to those names.
