Elon Musk’s pro-Trump political group, America PAC, is preparing a substantial voter mobilization campaign ahead of the November congressional elections, authorizing between $100 million and $120 million for the effort. The program is to run across at least eight states and will prioritize direct-contact and advertising tactics intended to increase turnout among Republican voters.
In a statement responding to inquiries, America PAC said it expects to play a leading role in Republican turnout operations this year and argued that the party is positioned to retain control of Congress despite midterm trends that sometimes favor the opposition. Andrew Romeo, the PAC’s spokesperson, said, "We’re excited to again be part of the team." He declined to provide further specifics on the PAC’s plans or the total amount it will ultimately spend.
Romeo confirmed earlier reporting that the PAC plans a broad campaign encompassing door knockers, digital advertising and a direct-mail push aimed at conservative voters. The organization characterized the initiative as a "huge investment" in voter contact tools designed to drive turnout among the party’s base.
Financial records and filings show America PAC has already deployed a large sum this cycle. Since January 1, 2025, the group has recorded $52.3 million in spending. Fundraising totals for the current election cycle stand at $50.3 million, with roughly $50 million of that amount coming directly from Musk, according to campaign finance filings reviewed alongside the PAC’s statement.
Super PACs have broad latitude to accept unlimited contributions from individuals and corporations, and to spend without legal limits on independent expenditures. They remain barred, however, from coordinating directly with candidates or official campaigns.
Musk has been a significant personal donor to midterm efforts overall. The billionaire has contributed in excess of $85 million toward midterm activity, a total that includes his gifts to America PAC. His financial role in these efforts follows substantial support he provided during the 2024 cycle to President Donald Trump and other Republican candidates.
The planned program would rank among the largest outside spending initiatives tied to the 2026 midterm cycle. America PAC’s planned investment and prior spending mark a further consolidation of Musk’s status as a major financial backer within Republican political financing.
Also noted in the filings is Musk’s connection to government contracting through his aerospace and satellite company. SpaceX derives roughly 20% of its revenue from the U.S. government, a fact cited in campaign finance and business-related disclosures linked to Musk’s broader public activities.
