Spanish shares finished the trading day higher on Monday, with advances concentrated in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Goods and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors.
At the close in Madrid, the benchmark IBEX 35 index climbed 0.80%.
Top performers
The strongest performers on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (BME:IDR), which rose 5.06% or 2.70 points to close at 56.06. Amadeus IT (BME:AMA) added 3.28% or 1.63 points to finish at 51.36. Logista (BME:LOG) gained 2.86% or 1.00 points to end the session at 36.00.
Largest decliners
On the downside, ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS) fell 5.06% or 5.80 points to close at 108.90. Acciona (BME:ANA) declined 2.02% or 5.00 points to finish at 242.60, and Sacyr SA (BME:SCYR) dropped 1.58% or 0.08 points to 4.72.
By the close, rising stocks outnumbered decliners on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 122 to 64, while 22 issues ended unchanged.
Shares in Logista (BME:LOG) reached an all-time high during the session, closing up 2.86% or 1.00 point at 36.00.
Commodities and currency
In commodity markets, Gold Futures for August delivery rose 0.33% or 13.35 to $4,084.15 a troy ounce. Crude oil for September delivery fell 6.82% or 6.09 to $83.22 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract dropped 5.69% or 5.22 to trade at $86.46 a barrel.
On currencies, EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.23% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 101.31.
