Risks

  • Commodity price swings: crude oil futures declined sharply (U.S. crude -5.17%, Brent -4.66%) while gold futures gained, reflecting unsettled conditions in energy and precious metals markets - this may affect energy-related equities and commodity-linked sectors.
  • Concentration in individual-stock moves: large percentage changes in specific small- and mid-cap names could indicate elevated idiosyncratic risk for investors holding those securities.
  • Currency fluctuations were modest but present (USD/TRY +0.05%, EUR/TRY +0.13%), posing exchange-rate sensitivity for companies with foreign-currency exposures.
