On the downside, Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:PFCEMARGOS) posted the steepest decline, falling 7.04% - a drop of 820.00 points - to trade at 10,820.00 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECOPETROL) fell 3.72%, or 100.00 points, to finish at 2,585.00. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC) slipped 1.74%, a 280.00-point decrease, to 15,840.00.

Commodity contracts and currency pairs showed mixed behaviour in the wider market. US coffee C for December delivery rose 0.57% or 1.75 to $310.55. US cocoa for September delivery fell 1.28% or 76.00 to $5,848.00. The December Gold Futures contract climbed 3.74% or 155.35 to trade at $4,307.95 a troy ounce.

Currency movements included USD/COP, which was down 0.03% at 3,182.06, while BRL/COP fell 0.03% to 621.61. The US Dollar Index Futures declined 0.19% to 99.55.
