Brazil's stock market closed the week on a positive note, with the main benchmark adding ground in late trade. At the Sao Paulo close, the Bovespa rose 0.47%, marking a new one-month high for the index.
Sectors that contributed to the advance included Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials, which together pushed overall equity performance higher during the session.

- Banco Santander Brasil SA Unit (BVMF:SANB11) led gains among listed names, jumping 13.35% - a 3.37 point increase - to finish at 28.62.
- Azzas 2154 SA (BVMF:AZZA3) added 3.53%, up 0.56 points to close at 16.36.
- Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos (BVMF:HAPV3) rose 2.45%, an increase of 0.27 points, ending the session at 11.28.
Lagging names
- Brava Energia SA (BVMF:BRAV3) was the weakest among the listed movers, slipping 2.89% or 0.59 points to 19.82 at the close.
- Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref (BVMF:USIM5) declined 2.52%, down 0.19 points to 7.32.
- Marfrig Global Foods (BVMF:MBRF3) fell 2.34%, a 0.42 point drop to 17.52.
Market breadth favored advancers on the B3 Stock Exchange, with 535 stocks rising against 374 that fell; 59 issues finished unchanged.
Volatility and commodities showed movement that accompanied the equity session. The CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility gauge was up 1.77%, reaching 28.18 by the close.
In commodity markets, Gold Futures for August delivery lost 1.22%, sliding $49.90 to settle at $4,050.20 a troy ounce. Crude oil for September delivery rose 1.21%, increasing $1.01 to $84.60 a barrel. The September US coffee C contract gained 2.62%, an $8.45 uptick to $331.50.
Currency moves included USD/BRL rising 0.23% to 5.07 and EUR/BRL climbing 0.29% to 5.87. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 99.69.
