Victoria, Seychelles — Beldex has launched a $1 million Grants Program designed to underwrite development of privacy-preserving software and infrastructure that run on or meaningfully utilize the Beldex network. Announced ahead of a formal introduction at Korea Blockchain Week 2026 in Seoul, the program accepts proposals on a rolling basis and sizes funding around the scope and technical requirements of each submission rather than operating by preset cycles.
Program purpose and eligibility
The Grants Program is open to developers, startups and teams worldwide. To qualify, projects must be built on or make substantive use of the Beldex network, and privacy must be a core element of the project's architecture, functionality or user experience. Beldex positions the initiative as a way to invite external builders to expand the network’s capabilities, rather than relying solely on products developed in-house.
Cris Blanco, Chief Strategy Officer at Beldex, described the intent: "Beldex has spent years building privacy infrastructure and products. The next phase is about opening that foundation to developers and growing an ecosystem beyond what Beldex builds itself. We don’t expect the most important privacy applications of the future to all come from inside one organisation. The Grants Program is about giving builders the infrastructure, support and capital to take those ideas from concept to production."
Opening the network to external builders
Historically, Beldex has developed a collection of internal products and services including BChat, BelNet, the Beldex Browser, BNS and the Beldex wallet. The grants initiative marks a strategic pivot to broaden participation by making the underlying privacy infrastructure available to third-party teams and encouraging development of applications, integrations and tools that align with Beldex’s privacy-first objectives.
Scope of supported projects
Funding is available for a range of privacy-focused work. The program explicitly notes three broad categories as examples, while affirming it is not limited to them:
- Privacy-Preserving Applications - consumer or enterprise solutions such as private payments, identity systems, communications and networking.
- Infrastructure, Research & Tooling - protocol-level contributions, SDKs, middleware and research that reinforce the privacy stack.
- Integration & Interoperability - wallet and developer integrations and layers that connect external ecosystems with Beldex.
Developers working on other privacy-centric use cases are also encouraged to apply.
Funding structure and delivery milestones
Beldex stresses that grants are not distributed as fixed lump sums. Instead, each proposal is evaluated on its individual scope, technical requirements and potential contribution to the ecosystem. Projects are reviewed one-by-one rather than through a competitive judging process. For those selected, Beldex and the applicant agree on a scope, milestones and a funding schedule tailored to the project’s needs.
Funding is disbursed in stages and tied to verified deliverables, a mechanism intended to maintain accountability and help teams progress from development to production. The announcement outlines typical funding stages, which may include:
- Prototype - a working proof-of-concept that demonstrates the project’s core privacy features.
- Testing - integration and testing in a live environment, which may include the Beldex testnet where applicable.
- Mainnet/Production - full deployment for public or enterprise use, where relevant.
Afanddy Bin Hushni, Chairman of Beldex, summarized the philosophy behind staged funding: "We are not interested in handing out lump sums and hoping for the best. Funding is tied to clear, verifiable milestones, so ambition is matched by real delivery. The goal is simple: help strong teams turn promising ideas into technology people actually use"
Developer support and resources
Beyond capital, approved projects may receive developer documentation, SDK resources, technical guidance for building on Beldex, integration support for relevant Beldex infrastructure and access to ongoing ecosystem resources. Developers will also be able to build with Beldex’s existing developer infrastructure, including Privacy Tokens, the Beldex Extension Wallet and the Beldex Web3.js SDK. The program is structured to reduce the need for teams to recreate underlying privacy infrastructure from the ground up.
Application process and availability
Applications will open via the official Beldex Grants Portal in conjunction with the program’s formal introduction at Korea Blockchain Week. Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis and funding is available to approved projects while the program’s $1 million allocation remains available. Full eligibility criteria, the funding framework and technical documentation are accessible at https://www.beldex.io/grants.
About Beldex
Beldex describes itself as building the infrastructure for a privacy-first internet. The ecosystem combines blockchain technology with cryptographic techniques designed to give users more control over data, transactions, communications and online activity. Core products referenced in the announcement include BChat for private messaging, BelNet for decentralized private networking, the Beldex Browser for privacy-focused web browsing and BNS, a decentralized naming system within the ecosystem.
The network is secured by a masternode layer operating under a Proof-of-Stake consensus model. BDX, Beldex’s native privacy-preserving currency, is used for transactions and staking across the ecosystem. The organization said it continues to invest in emerging privacy technology, naming areas such as Privacy Tokens, account-based addresses, a privacy-first EVM environment, quantum-safe cryptography research and privacy-preserving infrastructure for emerging AI applications.
