Turkey's equity benchmark, the BIST 100, ended Tuesday's session lower, pressured by losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Textile & Leather sectors.   • Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) dropped 9.98% or 1.44 points to 12.99 at the close.
  • Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) declined 6.61% or 0.23 points to finish at 3.25.

Market breadth and notable moves

Declining issues outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 379 to 224, while 16 stocks ended unchanged. Two names in the session reached record highs: Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) rose to an all-time high of 100.00 after a 7.64% gain, and Destek Finans Faktoring As (IS:DSTKF) climbed to an all-time high of 2,423.00 following a 5.35% advance.


Commodities and currency

On the commodities front, Gold Futures for June delivery fell 1.40% or 67.50 to $4,761.30 a troy ounce. Oil prices advanced: crude oil for June delivery rose 2.88% or 2.52 to $89.94 a barrel, while the June Brent contract gained 2.94% or 2.81 to trade at $98.29 a barrel.

FX pairs involving the Turkish lira showed modest moves. USD/TRY was up 0.05% at 44.89, while EUR/TRY declined 0.21% to 52.81. The US Dollar Index Futures was higher by 0.27% at 98.17.
