Commodity markets moved notably during the session, with crude benchmarks lower. Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.28% or 2.12 to $90.92 a barrel. Brent oil for August delivery fell 1.54% or 1.46 to $93.57 a barrel. Precious metals also retraced: the August Gold Futures contract declined 3.30% or 148.55 to trade at $4,356.45 a troy ounce.

The trading day underscored divergence among Sweden's major sectors. Telecoms, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas were identified as leading sectors on the downside, while select financial and consumer-related names recorded modest advances. The mix of commodity price moves and currency strength accompanied the equity weakness, contributing to a broader market backdrop that favored sellers on the close.
