The session's strongest performers included Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr), which advanced 5.26% or 0.22 points to finish at 4.41. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) climbed 4.85% or 2.55 points to close at 55.10, and Ekter (AT:EKTr) gained 3.12% or 0.16 points to end the day at 5.29.

On the downside, Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) fell 2.94% or 0.90 points to 29.75 at the close. ADACOM SA (AT:IDEr) dropped 2.84% or 0.18 points to finish at 6.16, and Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) declined 1.81% or 1.00 points to trade at 54.30 in late trade.

Market breadth on the Athens Stock Exchange favored rising issues: 65 stocks advanced while 43 declined, and 28 were unchanged.

Shares of Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) moved to a new all-time high during the session, increasing 4.85% or 2.55 points to 55.10.


Commodities and currency moves accompanying the session included a rise in gold futures for December delivery, which were up 0.38% or 16.86 to $4,437.26 a troy ounce. In energy markets, crude oil for September delivery increased 0.47% or 0.38 to $81.63 a barrel, and the October Brent oil contract climbed 0.91% or 0.79 to $87.86 a barrel.

On the foreign exchange front, EUR/USD was reported at 1.16 and EUR/GBP at 0.85. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 99.44.
