Market context and implications
The session saw a mixed internal breadth, with half of quoted names rising despite the headline decline in the AEX. Gains were concentrated in information services and semiconductor equipment names, while energy, real estate and basic materials faced selling pressure. Commodities showed modest strength, which contrasted with the losses among major Dutch energy and consumer-related stocks.
