Building on its portfolio of advanced inspection technologies, condition monitoring, engineering, and integrity management software, MISTRAS is exploring new ways to apply AI across its operations and customer solutions. The Company’s focus is on practical applications that can enhance inspection intelligence, improve how complex asset data is analyzed, support engineering and operational workflows, and ultimately increase the speed and precision of insights that help customers make better-informed asset integrity and maintenance decisions.

As part of this strategy, MISTRAS has appointed Samer F. Sarrouh as Executive Director of Artificial Intelligence. Sarrouh will lead MISTRAS’ enterprise AI strategy and help translate AI opportunities from individual ideas into coordinated, scalable business capabilities. His responsibilities will include identifying and prioritizing opportunities across the organization while establishing a practical framework for adoption, governance, and performance measurement.

Most recently, he led enterprise data and AI initiatives at Kroger, including production AI capabilities, retail intelligence, data-platform modernization, and operating models for responsible AI adoption. He previously held leadership roles at Amazon Web Services and RoviSys Automation & Information Solutions, bringing experience across large-scale cloud infrastructure, industrial systems, and enterprise software delivery. He holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Cleveland State University.
