Finland's equity benchmark, the OMX Helsinki 25, finished Tuesday's session higher, climbing 0.69% to a fresh record. Strength in Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Utilities supported the advance. SSAB AB B led individual movers with a double-digit-percentage relative gain to new highs, while oil prices fell and gold rose in commodity markets.

Stocks in Finland closed higher on Tuesday, with the OMX Helsinki 25 advancing 0.69% to reach a new all-time high at the end of the trading day in Helsinki. Market gains were driven primarily by the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors, which outperformed during the session.

On a company level, SSAB AB B (HE:SSABBH) was the strongest performer on the OMX Helsinki 25, finishing up 6.05% - a 0.45 point increase - to close at 7.89. The share rise took SSAB AB B to an all-time high at the session close.

Other notable advanceers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES), which added 2.94% or 0.30 points to finish at 10.49, and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 2.41% or 0.23 points to end the session at 9.59.

On the downside, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) was the weakest performer in the headline index, slipping 2.61% or 0.79 points to close at 29.51. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 0.51% or 0.10 points to 19.34, while Lumo Kodit Oyj (HE:LUMO) fell 0.25% or 0.02 points to 7.90 by the close.

Market breadth on the Helsinki Stock Exchange tilted positive, with 92 stocks advancing versus 81 declining, and 15 issues finishing unchanged.

In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery fell 3.46% or 3.96 to trade at $110.48 a barrel. Crude oil for June delivery also eased, dropping 4.08% or 4.34 to $102.08 a barrel. Precious metals moved in the opposite direction: the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.03% or 46.61 to settle at $4,579.91 a troy ounce.

Foreign exchange markets showed limited movement according to the session's reported levels. EUR/USD was reported unchanged at 1.17 with a 0.13% figure noted, and EUR/GBP was recorded unchanged at 0.86 with a 0.16% figure noted. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 98.22.
