Israel's equity market closed higher on Friday, with the TA-35 index rising 0.62% to reach a new one-month high at the close of trading in Tel Aviv. Gains were concentrated in the Technology, Banking and Real Estate sectors, which collectively helped push the benchmark upward.
The session's top performer on the TA-35 was Next Vision Stabilized Systems (TASE:NXSN), which climbed 6.33% - an increase of 1,530.00 points - to finish at 25,700.00. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) also posted a strong advance, adding 4.70% or 3,560.00 points to close at 79,350.00. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) rose 3.87%, gaining 9,510.00 points to end the day at 255,500.00.
On the downside, Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT) recorded the largest decline among TA-35 components, slipping 3.05% or 860.00 points to 27,380.00 at the close. NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) fell 2.71%, a decrease of 740.00 points to finish at 26,600.00, while ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was down 2.13% or 35.00 points to trade at 1,610.00.
Market breadth was narrowly positive by the session's end, with 229 stocks advancing compared with 224 decliners on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and 107 issues unchanged.
Commodities trading showed weakness in crude benchmarks. Crude oil for September delivery fell 2.85% or 2.63 to $89.56 a barrel. Brent oil for September delivery dropped 3.59% or 3.61 to $97.08 a barrel. In contrast, the August Gold Futures contract increased 0.36% or 14.50, trading at $4,064.70 a troy ounce.
In currency markets, the Israeli shekel strengthened against major international currencies. USD/ILS declined 0.80% to 3.05, while EUR/ILS decreased 0.75% to 3.47. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 101.23 by the close.
