On the downside, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was the weakest large-cap stock, falling 4.21% - a drop of 20.90 points to 475.40. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 2.55%, losing 2.70 points to end at 103.00, while Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) slipped 2.28%, down 6.40 points to 274.10.
Market breadth at the Stockholm exchange was tilted toward decliners, with 481 stocks closing lower versus 235 advancers, and 68 issues finishing unchanged.
Commodities exhibited notable moves that accompanied the equity action. U.S. crude oil for September delivery climbed 5.54%, up $4.81 to $91.64 a barrel.
