Commodities and currency movements

Energy contracts saw notable gains. Crude oil for October delivery increased 3.06% or 2.62 to trade at $88.38 a barrel. Brent oil for December delivery rose 4.79% or 4.23 to $92.60 a barrel.

Precious metals moved in the opposite direction, with the December Gold Futures contract falling 1.32% or 59.19 to trade at $4,422.31 a troy ounce.

FX pairs involving the krona were relatively stable. EUR/SEK was effectively unchanged, moving 0.03% to 11.13, while USD/SEK climbed 0.23% to 9.60. The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 99.59.
