The day's top individual performers on the S&P/ASX 200 included PEXA Group Ltd (ASX:PXA), which jumped 10.03% or 0.67 points to close at 7.35. Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd (ASX:DMP) added 3.98% or 0.80 points to finish at 20.89, and Reece Ltd (ASX:REH) rose 3.55% or 0.58 points to end the day at 16.94.
On the downside, Greatland Resources Ltd (ASX:GGP) led losses, sliding 6.00% or 0.76 points to 11.90 at the close. Objective Corp Ltd (ASX:OCL) dropped 5.29% or 0.36 points to 6.44, while Northern Star Resources Ltd (ASX:NST) declined 5.23% or 1.30 points to 23.49.
Investor sentiment on ASX options showed increased implied volatility. The S&P/ASX 200 VIX rose 4.52% to 10.74, signaling a modest uptick in option-implied market uncertainty.
Commodities delivered mixed signals during the session. December Gold Futures eased 0.97% - a decline of 43.96 - to trade at $4,485.94 a troy ounce. By contrast, crude oil strengthened: the October contract rose 2.53% or 2.11 to $85.51 a barrel, and the December Brent contract gained 5.09% or 4.38 to trade at $90.50 a barrel.
Currency moves were limited. The Australian dollar was essentially flat against the U.S. dollar, with AUD/USD unchanged by 0.01% at 0.72. AUD/JPY slipped 0.10% to 114.53. Separately, the U.S. Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 99.58.
