Renewable-energy company EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 1.23%, down 0.17 points to 13.66, while The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) slipped 0.73% or 0.02 points to finish at 3.25.

Market breadth favored decliners on the Lisbon exchange: falling issues outnumbered advancers by 19 to 6, with 5 stocks ending the session unchanged.


Commodities and futures

Energy contracts registered significant moves during the session. Brent crude for December delivery rose 4.89% - gaining 4.21 points - to $90.33 a barrel. U.S. crude for October delivery increased 2.53%, or 2.11 points, to $85.51 a barrel. In metals, the December Gold Futures contract declined 0.99%, losing 45.04 to trade at $4,484.86 a troy ounce.

In currency and index futures, EUR/USD moved 0.28% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP shifted 0.18% to 0.86. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 99.39 by the close.
