Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) fell 1.54% or 0.06 points to finish at 3.51. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) declined 0.88% or 0.16 points to close at 18.00.

Commodities - Brent oil for November delivery rose 0.67% or 0.58 to $87.52 a barrel. U.S. crude for October delivery increased 0.56% or 0.46 to $82.69 a barrel. The December gold futures contract climbed 0.16% or 7.26 to trade at $4,660.56 a troy ounce.

Currencies and dollar index - The euro was largely unchanged against major peers: EUR/USD moved 0.03% higher to 1.17, while EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.86. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 99.06.
