Risks

  • Sharp individual stock moves - several names recorded double-digit percentage changes, indicating elevated idiosyncratic volatility that can affect sector and portfolio exposures - relevant to investors in Information Technology, Financials and Sports-related equities.
  • Downward pressure in key commodities such as June gold and crude oil could influence companies sensitive to input costs or commodity-linked revenue - an uncertainty for materials and energy-linked market participants.
  • Currency fluctuations - small but measurable moves in USD/TRY and EUR/TRY and a higher US Dollar Index Futures reading introduce exchange-rate risk for exporters, importers and firms with FX exposure.
