Market close overview
Finland's stock market finished Friday on a positive note. At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.82%, supported by strength in the Utilities, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors.
Top and bottom performers
The session's largest gainer on the OMX Helsinki 25 was Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which climbed 3.19%, gaining 0.65 points to end at 21.03. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) followed with a 2.93% increase, up 0.25 points to 8.66. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) also posted a notable rise of 2.05%, adding 0.64 points to close at 31.87.
On the downside, Lumo Kodit Oyj (HE:LUMO) fell 1.23%, losing 0.10 points to finish at 8.06. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO) declined 1.23%, down 0.24 points to 19.30, while Hiab Oyj (HE:HIAB) was 0.89% lower, a decrease of 0.55 points to close at 61.10.

Commodities and currency movements
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was effectively flat, up 0.01% or 0.01 to $95.53 a barrel. U.S. crude for October delivery eased 0.44% or 0.40 to $90.90 a barrel. The December Gold Futures contract lost 1.24%, down 56.26 to trade at $4,483.64 a troy ounce.
On currencies, EUR/USD was effectively unchanged at 1.16, moving 0.07%. EUR/GBP showed a 0.02% move to 0.86. The US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.21% to 99.09.
