On the downside, Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) led declines among the index names, slipping 4.09% or 0.84 points to finish at 19.70. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) fell 3.84% or 1.39 points to end at 34.80, while TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) was down 2.14% or 0.43 points to 19.67.

Market breadth at the Helsinki Stock Exchange favored sellers: 112 stocks declined versus 59 advancers, and 18 issues finished unchanged. That distribution underlined the session's defensive tilt as sector-level pressure in Technology, Industrials and Healthcare outweighed pockets of strength elsewhere.

Commodities moved higher during the session. Brent oil for July delivery gained 1.67% or 1.67 to trade at $101.73 a barrel. U.S. crude for June delivery rose 1.10% or 1.04 to $95.85 a barrel. Precious metals saw a small uptick, with the June Gold Futures contract increasing 0.13% or 5.89 to trade at $4,716.79 a troy ounce.

In currency markets, the euro strengthened against the dollar, with EUR/USD up 0.43% to 1.18. EUR/GBP was reported unchanged 0.12% to 0.86. The US Dollar Index Futures edged lower, down 0.15% at 97.80.
