Among the session's top performers on the BIST 100, Efor Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:EFOR) led gains, rising 9.96% - a 1.15 point increase - to finish at 12.70. Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:EUPWR) advanced 5.82%, up 3.05 points to close at 55.45. Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS:RALYH) also posted a strong showing, increasing 5.35% or 18.00 points to end the session at 354.50.

On the downside, Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) was the weakest member of the index, declining 5.76% or 0.60 points to 9.81 at the close. Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:IZENR) fell 4.48%, a 0.48 point drop to 10.24, while Turk Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:TRALT) lost 4.45% or 1.84 points to trade at 39.54 in late trade.

Declining issues outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, with 348 stocks falling versus 256 that rose; 16 shares finished unchanged.

Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:EUPWR) moved to a 52-week high during the session, rising 5.82% or 3.05 to reach 55.45.

Commodity markets showed mixed activity. Gold Futures for June delivery fell 2.14%, a decline of 99.41, to settle at $4,545.09 a troy ounce. In contrast, crude oil for June delivery rose 3.47%, gaining 3.54 to hit $105.48 a barrel, and the July Brent oil contract climbed 5.53%, an increase of 5.98, to trade at $114.15 a barrel.

On the foreign exchange front, USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 45.20, while EUR/TRY edged down 0.08% to 52.93. The US Dollar Index Futures gained 0.26%, trading at 98.26.
