Banzai International Inc (NASDAQ:BNZI) saw its shares leap as much as 62% in after-hours trading on Wednesday after announcing a strategic distribution alliance with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:INGM). The deal will route Banzai’s OpenReel and Demio products into Ingram Micro’s channel partner network across the United States.
The arrangement, executed through DistiNow, means Banzai’s marketing and sales solutions will be immediately available to Ingram Micro’s distribution ecosystem. Banzai stated it expects the partnership to accelerate enterprise adoption of its AI-powered video production and webinar platforms.
"We are thrilled to enter into this partnership, which gives Banzai access to Ingram Micro’s substantial distribution channel to accelerate organic growth," said Joe Davy, Founder and CEO of Banzai.
OpenReel is described as an AI-powered video production software that allows companies to direct, capture, and edit video content. Demio provides webinar and virtual event functionality. The distribution agreement also covers future Banzai products, expanding the scope of what can be offered through Ingram Micro’s channels.
Ingram Micro operates as a global B2B technology distributor with reach to nearly 90% of the global population. The company serves a network of business-to-business technology partners through its Xvantage digital platform, and the new agreement uses that distribution footprint to deliver Banzai’s solutions to resellers and channel partners in the U.S.
Banzai serves more than 150,000 customers, including enterprise names such as Amazon, Dell, Salesforce, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. The company characterized the Ingram Micro alliance as part of its broader go-to-market strategy to enter new customer segments via distribution partnerships.
The announcement prompted a sharp move in Banzai’s share price during after-hours trading, reflecting investor interest in the potential sales reach of the arrangement. The distribution agreement ties Banzai’s product portfolio directly to an established channel operator while leaving open the option to include upcoming products under the same distribution umbrella.
