Greek equities ended the session in positive territory on Friday, with breadth favoring gainers as the Athens market was led higher by pockets of strength in the banking, construction and travel sectors.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 1.49%.

- Intralot Integrated Lottery Systems and Services SA (AT:BYLOTr) rose 3.38% or 0.04 points to finish at 1.10.
- National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) climbed 3.26% or 0.50 points to end the day at 15.69.
- Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) increased 2.61% or 0.11 points to close at 4.36.
Largest decliners
- Ekter (AT:EKTr) dropped 2.19% or 0.12 points to trade at 5.35 at the close.
- Alter Ego Media SA (AT:AEMr) fell 1.69% or 0.09 points to finish at 5.23.
- Alumil (AT:ALMr) was down 1.66% or 0.09 points to 5.32.
Market breadth on the Athens Stock Exchange favored advancing issues, with 75 stocks rising, 35 declining and 23 finishing unchanged.
Commodities and energy
On the commodities front, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.35% or 14.35 to $4,064.55 a troy ounce. Crude oil for September delivery fell 2.80% or 2.58 to $89.61 a barrel. The September Brent contract retreated 3.56% or 3.58 to trade at $97.11 a barrel.
Foreign exchange and dollar index
Major currency pairs were largely unchanged: EUR/USD was flat, moving 0.02% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP was unchanged, up 0.09% to 0.85. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 101.23.
This session combined sector-led strength in financials and select service firms with softer energy prices, while FX benchmarks showed minimal movement. The market-level data and the individual stock moves provide a snapshot of investor allocations across Greek-listed names at the close.
