NEW YORK, Sept. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SL Science Holding Limited (“SL Science” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: SLBT), a Taiwan-headquartered biomedical company specializing in developing innovative cellular and gene therapies, today announced that its management team rang Nasdaq bell at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, New York, to celebrate its first quarter as a publicly traded company.

The ceremony marked the Company’s first appearance at Nasdaq since completing its business combination with Horizon Space Acquisition II Corp. and commencing trading under the ticker symbol “SLBT” on June 15, 2026. It also closes out SL Science's first quarter as a public company, a period during which the Company advanced its Gamma Delta (γδ) T cell platform across scientific, academic, and regulatory fronts.

From Listing to Execution: Progress Since June 15, 2026

SL Science reached key strategic milestones this quarter to support its clinical development trajectory, led by its ongoing Orphan Drug Designation (ODD) request for Vdelta2+ γδT cells in glioblastoma multiforme (DRU-2026-11528) under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) review since March 2026, with the Company currently preparing additional nonclinical data requested by the agency.

Building on this regulatory momentum, preclinical research jointly conducted with research partners on intracranial γδT cell therapy in glioblastoma models was exhibited in July 2026 at the World Congress of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology in Melbourne, Australia.

These advancements are powered by SL Science’s γδT cell platform, licensed from IP holder JY BioMed for brain and pancreatic cancer indications. Operating independently of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) presentation, γδT cells directly engage tumor cells to bypass immune evasion and tumor heterogeneity, offering a scalable cell population that complements modalities like mRNA therapies and checkpoint inhibitors.

To support commercialization, Drug Master Files (DMFs) covering both γδT cells and γδT-derived exosomes are filed with the FDA, providing confidential quality and manufacturing data that establish a documented Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) foundation across both product formats.

Management Commentary

“Ringing the bell at Nasdaq is a moment worth marking, but what matters is what we have done with the eleven weeks since we started trading,” said Mr. William Wang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SL Science.“We have continued to advance our scientific and development efforts while building the foundation for the next stage of growth. We believe the future of cancer treatment will increasingly involve complementary approaches. γδ T cells have the potential to play an important role alongside advances such as mRNA-based cancer vaccines and checkpoint inhibitors. We believe these approaches have the potential to open new possibilities in cancer treatment. Standing here at Nasdaq today is a marker on that path, not the destination.”
