DENVER, CO, Oct. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rank One Computing Corporation d/b/a ROC, (Nasdaq: ROC) (“ROC” or the “Company”), a U.S. leader in Vision AI, building unified biometric, video analytics, and digital evidence solutions, today announces the launch of its Age Estimation API, a new self-service offering that gives U.S. businesses direct production access to ROC’s facial age estimation technology via a Web API. The launch marks ROC’s first Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering and advances the Company’s broader strategy to expand its revenue base beyond enterprise access by making its Vision AI capabilities available through SaaS and APIs.

“ROC has built age estimation technology that ranks among the best globally, and now we’re making it more accessible to the developer community,” said ROC CEO B. Scott Swann. “This foundational SaaS offering is a material advancement in our product set and the start of a broader strategy that creates a compelling new revenue stream in our commercial business. Over time, we anticipate launching additional SaaS and API offerings to developers and integration partners, including face analytics and biometrics.”

ROC’s SaaS offering is designed for developers and product teams building age-assurance workflows. The API enables customers to submit a supported facial image and receive a structured age estimate rooted in ROC’s NIST-ranked age estimation technology that can be incorporated into their own thresholds, access rules, safeguards, and escalation processes. With increasing market demand for security and safety harnesses across commercial and enterprise business, the API supports age-assurance applications spanning social and community platforms, age-gated content and services, gaming, digital onboarding, and age-restricted commerce. Developers can build and test against the same API used in production, with submitted facial images processed in real time and immediately discarded. Facial images and biometric data are not retained or stored, and requests are processed without human review.

ROC’s age estimation technology has been independently evaluated through the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Face Analysis Technology Evaluation (FATE) Age Estimation & Verification (AEV) benchmark. The Company ranked first globally in Mean Absolute Error (MAE) across NIST’s Visa, Application, and Mugshot datasets for adults ages 18 to 30, and first globally in MAE on NIST’s Child Online Safety dataset, which evaluates age estimation for individuals ages 13 to 16. Lower MAE indicates a closer average age estimate.
