SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- For its leadership and performance across multiple fields, California Water Service Group (Group) (NYSE: CWT) has earned a spot on Newsweek’s 2026 list of “America’s Greatest Companies.” The ranking recognizes the top 650 public companies in the United States with at least 1,000 employees and $75 million in 2025 revenue, and is based on financial leadership, innovation, performance as an employer, and sustainability performance.

Group is the sole water utility on this year’s list, developed by Newsweek in partnership with statistics portal and industry ranking provider Plant-A Insights Group and data provider Aniline. The analysis included a large-scale, confidential survey among employees from U.S. companies, with more than 2.7 million reviews collected from over 179,000 employees. It also considered data from prior studies between 2022 and 2024, which included more than 4.9 million reviews from 400,000 employees. Additionally, the study utilized information from the Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and analyzed more than 120 employment-related key performance indicators, media coverage, and environmental assessments from multiple third-party sources.
