Tele2, Telia and H & M were among the day's leaders, while AB SKF, Boliden and Svenska Cellulosa SCA posted the largest declines. Market breadth favored decliners, and several key commodity and currency benchmarks moved modestly by the close.

  • Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) led the index's gainers, rising 1.81% - an increase of 2.90 points - to finish at 162.95.
  • Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) added 1.43%, or 0.57 points, to close at 40.55.
  • H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) advanced 1.39%, up 2.50 points, to end the session at 178.40.

Largest decliners on the session

  • AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was the session's heaviest loser, falling 7.63% - a drop of 19.20 points - to trade at 232.60 at the close.
  • Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 4.19%, or 27.40 points, to finish at 626.60.
  • Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) slipped 3.13%, down 3.60 points, to end at 111.60.

Shares in Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) also hit a notable milestone on the downside, falling to 5-year lows as they closed at 111.60.


Commodities and currencies

  • Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.32%, or 0.21, to $65.63 a barrel.
  • Brent oil for April delivery rose 0.29%, or 0.20, to $69.79 a barrel.
  • The April Gold Futures contract fell 6.51%, down 348.71, to trade at $5,006.09 a troy ounce.

In foreign exchange moves, EUR/SEK was up 0.08% at 10.54, while USD/SEK rose 0.76% to 8.87. The US Dollar Index Futures was higher by 0.58%, trading at 96.69.
