What this means
The Paris market closed with modest gains led by Industrials, Financials and Consumer Goods, even as volatility reached a one-year peak and commodities, notably oil and gold, moved lower. A small number of stocks dominated percentage moves on the SBF 120, with several large declines counterbalanced by sizable advances elsewhere.
