Risks

  • Rising implied volatility as signaled by the CAC 40 VIX reaching a new 52-week high - this affects equity market stability and could impact investor sentiment across sectors.
  • Sharp individual stock moves and multiple companies hitting multi-year lows - stocks such as Stellantis (EPA:STLAM) and Eurazeo (EPA:EURA) fell to 5-year lows and Vivendi (EPA:VIV) reached a 52-week low, indicating company-specific downside risk in autos and investment/entertainment-related names.
  • Large commodity price swings - oil rose strongly while gold weakened, introducing uncertainty for energy-linked equities and sectors sensitive to input costs.
