In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery rose 1.19% or 1.14 to $97.06 a barrel. US crude for May delivery increased 1.32% or 1.29 to $99.16 a barrel. The June Gold Futures contract moved lower, falling 0.65% or 31.25 to trade at $4,786.75 a troy ounce.

Foreign exchange rates showed limited movement in the reported session. EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.17, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.02% to 0.87. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 98.50.
