Brenmiller Energy Ltd has introduced BNRG360, a comprehensive strategy designed to provide industrial customers with bundled heat and power solutions under extended contractual agreements, signaling a shift from standalone technology supply to holistic clean energy service provision. This initiative integrates the company's thermal energy storage technology with solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems, enabling customers to decarbonize energy consumption without upfront capital investments.

Key Points

  • Brenmiller Energy launched BNRG360, offering integrated heat and power solutions to industrial customers under long-term contracts.
  • The new strategy bundles the company's thermal energy storage with solar photovoltaic and battery technologies, removing upfront costs for customers.
  • European partnerships aim to enhance economics and speed up development through shared infrastructure like grid connections and land access.

Brenmiller Energy Ltd (NASDAQ: BNRG) stock experienced a 3.6% increase during Thursday's premarket session following the rollout of its new integrated energy offering, BNRG360. This approach aims to deliver combined heat and power services to industrial sectors through long-term contract structures.

Traditionally recognized for its thermal energy storage technology, Brenmiller Energy is expanding its market scope by bundling its proprietary bGen™ thermal storage systems with solar photovoltaic installations and battery storage technologies. This integrated platform allows industrial customers to secure access to decarbonized heat and power sources via contractual agreements that eliminate the need for initial capital expenditure.

CEO Avi Brenmiller commented on this development, stating, "The launch of BNRG360 marks a significant step forward in our value creation approach. Industrial clients increasingly demand a singular, accountable partner to handle their complex energy needs."

The strategy behind BNRG360 is geared toward accelerating industrial decarbonization efforts while mitigating financial and project-related risks. By coupling proprietary thermal storage units with established renewable assets under contractual frameworks, Brenmiller intends to enhance project bankability, which can translate into lower capital costs and hastened revenue collection.

In the European market, Brenmiller Energy plans to leverage and strengthen existing collaborations with firms like VIRIDI RE and Green Enesys. Shared use of critical project infrastructure, including grid connections and land rights, is expected to improve economic viability and reduce project development timelines.

The BNRG360 service platform is envisioned to feature solar power integrated directly with industrial facilities, paired battery storage solutions, and thermal batteries engineered to transform renewable electric power into industrial-grade heat. Customers will have the flexibility to contract for individual electricity or heat services, or opt for fully integrated energy offerings.

Risks

  • Dependence on successful integration of thermal storage with solar and battery technology may present technical or operational challenges.
  • The approach relies on sustained long-term contracts, which could be affected by changing market or regulatory conditions impacting project financing.
  • Execution risks include coordination with partners in Europe and the ability to leverage shared assets effectively for timely project delivery.
